Academic background
Enrique holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Admiralty and Maritime Law from Tulane University School of Law (United States), one of the world’s leading academic institutions in our field.
Professional experience
Enrique has built a solid and internationally oriented career in maritime, insurance and transport law. Prior to this appointment, he served at one of Spain’s leading law firms, where he advised on complex maritime matters including marine casualties, P&I Clubs, cargo claims, collisions, salvage, vessel arrests, charter party disputes and arbitration proceedings. He previously worked in Hamburg as a Claims Handler, managing a wide range of maritime claims for shipowners, charterers and insurers, and in Panama as Legal Counsel, where he was involved in maritime litigation, vessel registration and ship finance. His professional profile is further complemented by academic publications in specialised maritime law journals.
